Angela studied drawing at the National Gallery Art School,Melbourne, under Ian Armstrong in the 1960's and oil painting at the Victorian Artists' Society, with Shirley Bourne OAM.
As one of the "Seven Painters", mostly based around Eltham, she exhibited with the group in Melbourne and Adelaide in the 1970's.
She was awarded the A.M.E.Bale Art Travelling Scholarship in 1983 and spent over a year based in London, visiting Art Galleries and attending study courses in fine art in France, Germany, Italy and Russia. She is a member of the Chelsea Arts Club, London; The Melb. Society of Woman Painters and Sculptors; The Twenty Melbourne Painters Society and a Fellow of the Victorian Artists Society.
Angela has had 14 solo exhibitions in Melbourne and Sydney, with works held in Private, Civic, Educational and Corporate collections in Australia and Overseas.

Angela's work is painted directly from her chosen subject, whether landscape, figure, portrait or still life.
She particularly enjoys the challenge of dealing with ever-changing situations of moving light and figures when working en plein air.
In early 2012, Angela recorded impressions in Kawaguchiko, Japan; 2013, in Shizuoka and Kanazawa; 2015, Shikoku and Kyushu; 2017; Tohoku; 2018 Nagano, Japan. Ink and gouache was used as a medium for these works. In June-July, 2019, a Display of Angela's work was held at the Consulate-General of Japan, Melbourne.
Angela has been an Artist in Residence at Montsalvat, the Arts Centre in Eltham, since the early 1990's and where she teaches informally, enjoying the range of subjects accorded within the lofty Art School Studio and Centre's unique buildings and grounds.
